'Professional quality gynecologic care' available at NMC

I am writing to clarify the October 4, 2006 Wire article "Access to OB-GYN a must, students say." In particular, it is important to address errors that misrepresented services available to students. Wheaton's commitment to meeting student's health care needs is evident in our partnership with Norton Medical Center (NMC) and its affiliates. Students can receive professional quality gynecologic care (including routine examinations, Pap tests, pregnancy tests, STD care and contraception services) at NMC. When specialty care is required, a broad network of providers are accessible within the local area.
Norton Medical Center is dedicated to serving the students at Wheaton College. The active partnership we share enables us to continue to find ways to increase service benefits to students.
