Election results are in with high student turnout

Arian Gower '09 received 437 votes to gain the position of College Hearing Board Chair over Reid Lavoie '09 who received 304 votes. Gower said that he felt relieved after learning he won the election. He said that he would like to "get more experience finishing off the year."
For the Junior Representative to the Board of Trustees, Shannon Ryan '10 won with 364 votes and Nadia Elsayed '10 came in second with 313 votes. Unopposed candidates for election Persephone Tan '09 won Intercultural Board Chair with 656 votes, Jonathan Wolinsky '10 won Educational Council Chair with 646 votes, Zachary Ginsburg '10 won for Treasurer with 638 votes, and Aarika DuPlissie '09 won for Programming Council Chair at 606 votes.
Lucia Rodezno will serve as the Class of 2009 President for the next academic year. Rodezno won with 44 votes, while opponents, Gino Santilli racked 35 votes which was just one more than Jessica Brunelle and Amanda Rawson who received 34 votes each. Unopposed candidates, Phil Kiley and Brian Dundon, won for class senator with 122 votes and class secretary with 120 votes respectively. The positions of class treasurer and vice president are vacant.
Also vacant are most of the positions on the Class of 2010 Council. Ashley Arra will serve as class president for the rising junior class with 146 votes.
Solomon Odame will continue his role as Class of 2011 President with 158 votes. His opponent, Gwen Crafts, earned 97 votes. Also continuing their time in office are Vice President Dana Schwender, with 231 votes, Class Secretary Rebecca Fahlstrom with 236 votes and Class Senator Tess Cunard with 236 votes. No candidate was elected for treasurer.
In the college hearing board member-at-large race Alison Morris '11 came in third place with 110 votes, Amadi Jackman '11 came in second with 253 votes, and winning the race was Greg Welch '09 with 344 votes. Unopposed candidate for college hearing board secretary Christopher Van Hise '11 won with 620 votes. For vice chair of the college hearing board, Romel Antoine '09 won with 473 votes and Stephanie Funt '11 came in second place with 258 votes.
All twelve candidates for the twelve positions of SGA senator were elected. David Perelman '11 came in at 349 votes, Joshua Morash '10 with 379, Justin Ortiz '09 with 379, Holly Sjogren '10 with 396, Emily Hughes '11 with 406, Kevin Twomey '11 with 409, Bethany Pine '11 with 416, Toby Rowe '09 with 417, James Culver '11 with 423, Nadila Yusuf '11 with 443, Sierra Flanigan '09 with 449, and Sasha Kim '10 with 483.
