Solot and Miller during their presentation at campus provided humor and stories to over 100 students.

Marshall Miller and Dorian Solot, professional sex educators, spoke at Wheaton last week regarding an irregularly considered topic: the female orgasm.

As an informational session that was lightened with humor and anecdotes, the presentation brought to light the importance of female sexual health alongside sexual empowerment.

The "I <3 Female Orgasm" program has been presented to over 400 schools nationally.
Energetic, informative, and playful, Solot and Miller spoke to over 100 Wheaton students in the Holman Room, including around a dozen men.

One of the first things introduced at the lecture was a resource sheet covering everything from books on sexuality to abuse recovery.

Solot and Miller presented diverse information to attendees, from a humorous When Harry Met Sally clip to a montage of Cosmopolitan headlines. Their presentation engaged the topic of why female sexuality is so deliberately left by the wayside.

Speaking about female sexuality, Solot and Miller told students that it is "healthy, responsible, and right," and offered examples not only from their own lives, but allowed students the chance to share their own experiences and ask any questions.

During one part of the presentation, men and women were ushered to separate parts of Mary Lyon Hall so as to offer a more secure venue in which to ask questions to the two presenters and share their own beliefs and experiences.

A funny, educational program about women's sexuality and pleasure, Solot and Miller explained the event as a "time to laugh and talk about a subject that is not widely discussed."

The interweaving of both the male and female perspective was made seamless by the two hosts, who, in addition to their capacity as educators, are also a couple.

Solot and Miller's presentation addressed the importance of speaking about female sexuality.

The event stressed that the importance of female sexuality extends beyond satisfaction, touching on more serious ideas such as recognizing the symptoms of an STD or being able to negotiate for safe sexual practices.
