"I am pleased to welcome Dr. Lee Burdette Williams as our new Vice President and Dean of Students. Dr. Williams comes to Wheaton from the University of Connecticut where she served as Dean of Students," said President Crutcher who had a crucial role in hiring Williams. Gail Berson, who chaired the Vice President and Dean of Students Search Committee, and the members of the committee, also put in a lot of time and effort to finding a suitable candidate for Wheaton.
President Crutcher is happy with the choice that the committee made and thinks that Dr. Williams is the best choice for the school. "According to her references, she has, throughout her career, earned a reputation as someone in the field of student affairs who consistently seeks connections to the academic mission of the institution in all that she does," said Crutcher.
